Do you make them?

Yes.  All of our products are hand crafted by a guild of  true artisans and master crafters.

Do you take checks?

No, we do not.  We do take cashier’s checks, money orders and credit/debit cards, or PayPal.

Why aren’t the swords sharpened?

We offer our blades with a sparring edge so you can fight with direct steel to steel contact without accidentally chopping anything off of anyone.  We do offer a sharpening service for most of our blades at an additional cost.

How do I take care of my sword and keep it shiny?

Our blades are high carbon steel, so each time you touch it you will need to oil it.  We offer Sword Care Kits that include everything you need to maintain and clean your sword.

How much is sharpening?

Sharpening is $30 per linear foot.  The minimum charge for sharpening is $30.  We sharpen most of our blades, however there a select few that we will not sharpen.  Additionally, we only sharpen our own products and no one else’s.

What are the swords made of?

Our blades are made from 1075 high carbon spring steel, 1084 spring steel, or Chro-maly or a combination of these steels.

Where do you get the steel?

We get our steel from the New Jersey Steel Baron.

Where are they made?

All of our products are hand crafted in the USA.  None of them are outsourced to any other country.

Where are you located?

Legacy Forge is located in Alvarado, Texas.  

Do you have a store front?

No, we do not.  We rely on our presence at shows and our online sales to sell our products.

Where can I buy one of your products?

You can find us at a number of Renaissance festivals as well as purchase most of our items here on the website.  Click here for our show schedule.

Are all of your products listed on the website?

Not at all.  Due to the nature of hand crafted work, we always have several items at festivals and shows that we do not list on the website since they are one of a kind.

Do you do custom work?

Yes, but there is a waiting period of at least 18 months for most custom work. Custom work requests will not be considered unless you submit at least one drawing or sketch, dimensions, and complete contact information with your request. Custom orders can take up to five years to complete depending on the waiting list.

How much is shipping?

Shipping ranges from $30 to $115 depending on the length and weight of the item being shipped.

Shipping from a show is calculated at the show based on the item.

Shipping of a layaway is calculated based on on the item.
